About the band.
Back Alley Sally fuses two award-winning voices into one of Melbourne's most exciting and diverse blues acts.
Julie Noble won the 2016 MBAS Blues Challenge on harmonica, earning a trip to Memphis. Benji Miu is a former Frankston Jazz/Blues Young Guitarist of the Year. Together since 2024, Back Alley Sally took out the MBAS Solo/Duo of the Year Award in 2025.
Gritty, raw, and all-original, they've torn up iconic stages like the Blues Train, Blues Tram, Blues on the Bay, and Hume Blues, and supported Geoff Achison's 2025 album launch.
Their debut EP, Motel Marathon, produced by Achison himself, is already spinning on blues programs across Australia.
